AL'S HOBBIES SPEKTRUM™ APPOINTED UK REPAIR AND WARRANTY SERVICE AGENT
AL’s Hobbies are proud to announce that we are now the appointed Spektrum service centre for the UK. We carry out all Spektrum RC warranty work as well as all chargeable repairs. Using genuine Spektrum parts and processes to the manufacturer’s standards.
Mr Garry Brace who has 12 years of experience as Spektrum senior service technician performs every repair and ensures that they are both swift and economical.
All Spektrum™ items are covered by a 1 year limited warranty. If you have a faulty Spektrum™ item within warranty period, please send the item in to us with a covering note, return address and contact details along with a valid copy of your proof of purchase to the address beneath. We do also offer a drop-off service. However, we are unable to provide a while-you-wait service. The complete process is normally completed within 3-4 days.
- What does Spektrum™ warranty cover? (As per Spektrum RC)
Horizon Hobby, Inc., (Horizon) warrants to the original purchaser that the product purchased (the "Product") will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase.
- What does Spektrum™ warranty not cover? (As per Spektrum RC)
This warranty is not transferable and does not cover (i) cosmetic damage, (ii) damage due to acts of God, accident, misuse, abuse, negligence, commercial use, or due to improper use, installation, operation or maintenance, (iii) modification of or to any part of the Product, (iv) attempted service by anyone other than a Horizon Hobby authorized service center, (v) Product not purchased from an authorized Horizon dealer, or (vi) Product not compliant with applicable technical regulations.
OTHER THAN THE EXPRESS WARRANTY ABOVE, HORIZON MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTY OR REPRESENTATION, AND HEREBY DISCLAIMS ANY AND ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF NON-INFRINGEMENT, MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. THE PURCHASER ACKNOWLEDGES THAT THEY ALONE HAVE DETERMINED THAT THE PRODUCT WILL SUITABLY MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE PURCHASERS INTENDED USE.
PLEASE NOTE: We do not currently have any form of access to requests submitted to Horizon Hobby's RMA service, so please ensure your fault is fully explained within your covering note.
REPAIRS AND RETURNS NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY
If you have a Spektrum™ item that has a non-warranty fault. Such as, you have a broken switch, antenna or maybe even a stick assembly. Al's Hobbies can assist you with these repairs, at a reasonable rate. Our standard hourly labour charge for repairs is £10.00 per 15-mins* plus £3.50 postage for small items and £9.00 for larger items (i.e. transmitters). Currently we have facilities to repair most Spektrum™ items.
*Al's Hobbies withhold the right to alter the chargeable hourly rate stated at any time without prior notice.
Transmitter Health Check+
A Spektrum™ transmitter health check is now available for a fee of £30.00 including return postage. To submit your Spektrum™ transmitter for an Al's Hobbies health check service, please send the item in to us with a covering note detailing that you wish to receive a 'transmitter health check', return address and contact details along with a valid copy of your proof of purchase to the address beneath. We will perform the health check and contact you for payment on completion.
